Years on the WYASD Board of Directors:

    • Two years

    What is your occupation?

    • President at Ascom Electric.

What makes West York awesome from your perspective as a School Director and a District resident, and what would you like the community to know about West York?

    • I believe West York is an amazing place because we have a very engaged community. As School Directors, we work together and push each other to be better while still valuing our differences. I want the community to understand that we carefully consider all aspects of our decisions and never make them without thoughtful consideration.

What is the most important issue before the Board right now?

    • Open communication towards projects and taxes.

Where do you see the District in 5 years, and how do you see your role on the Board as an integral part of the future?

    • I am confident that we can develop an educational philosophy at West York that benefits all our students equally. We will establish checks and balances to ensure a conducive environment for our community, administrators, educators, and students to grow and succeed. We will earn and maintain the community's trust by providing them with a platform to voice their opinions. My role is at the grassroots level, and I strongly believe that all programs should be built from the bottom up while still showing respect to those in higher positions.

What people might be surprised to know about you?

    • I'm a huge fan of the Theater.

What is one piece of advice you would share with our high school seniors?

    • Setting both short-term and long-term goals can be highly beneficial in terms of personal growth and development.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

    • Help Others.
