Ms. Astree teaches 7th and 8th-grade general music and serves as the Band Director at the Middle School.  Ms. Astree has worked hard to provide meaningful and relevant music instruction to all of her students.  She has worked to incorporate music technology into her course so that students have the opportunity to write and record their own music.  Additionally, in her role as Band Director, she recently hosted the York County Honors Band Festival.  This event brought together student musicians from 17 local middle schools across York County.  Additionally, as West York celebrates our 100 years of instrumental music, Ms. Astree has worked to digitize past band programs so that young and old bulldogs alike can enjoy West York's rich musical tradition.
