If you need to connect with resources in your community, but don’t know where to look, Pennsylvania 211 is a great place to start. From help with a utility bill to housing assistance, after-school programs for kids, and more, you can dial 211 or text your zip code to #898-211 to talk with a resource specialist for free. Our specialists will listen to your needs, and give you information on programs in your community that might be able to help.

York Hospital, Hanover Hospital, and UPMC Memorial Emergency Departments
have 24/7 Crisis Intervention Services available, but due to the influx the departments may have with COVID-19 cases, you may want to avoid these locations unless you have no other options.


YWCA - For victims of abuse - home is not always the safest place to be and while social distancing their safety may be at risk. For anyone that would want to talk please call the YWCA York's 24/7 hotline at 717-846-5400 or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. If you are not able to talk safely you can text LOVEIS to 22522 or log onto thehotline.org. Remember you are not alone.

TREVORLIFELINE - 1-866-488-7386 (Available 24 hours a day/7 days a week for LGBTQ+ young people in crisis, feeling suicidal or in need of a safe and judgment-free place to talk.


The Curve, an LGBT youth group for teens 14-21 here in York. We understand that your school is currently closed due to the coronavirus and we would like to let you know that we can still offer your teens some resources during this time. To help prevent the spread of Covid-19, we are replacing our usual in-person meetings with video conference calls on a program called "Blue Jeans." We will continue to teach lessons, but will also be using this time to create a space where teens can talk about mental health during this time of isolation and extreme changes to their normal schedules and routines. The Curve is also a program at Planned Parenthood York and if you or any of your students have questions about receiving our services at this time, they can reach out to us through those platforms as well.
