    The West York Area School District Board of Directors gives notice of the following meetings:

  • Work Session of the Board will be held on Tuesday, November 10, at 7:00 PM

  • Board Meeting of the Board will be held on Tuesday, November 17, at 6:30 PM 


Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the resulting Executive Order regarding indoor gatherings, this meeting will be offered both in person at the Administration Office located at 1891 Loucks Road, Suite 100, and virtually through the Zoom video conferencing platform.  he meeting will also be streamed live through YouTube.  

Community members wishing to join us in person will need to complete this registration form. In-person attendance is on a first-come-first-serve basis, and you will be notified if your form is submitted after the cap has been reached. The cap of 25, total, includes School Directors, the Board Secretary, and District Solicitor, as well as other administrative personnel required to be at the meeting.  

Those unable to attend in person may join via Zoom or view the livestream on YouTube. To join the meeting via Zoom, please register HERE in advance for the Work Session and HERE for the regular Board Meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar, as well as a reminder email with a link to join one hour prior to the start of the meeting.

Public comment can be made in person or by using the Zoom platform.  Questions for the Board or Administration may be posed through email by directly emailing Board Directors or Administrators. These email addresses may be found on our website. The agenda for each meeting will be available to the public on the Monday prior to the meeting, on West York Area School District BoardDocs.

Directions for the public to ask questions or make public comments via Zoom:

  • Click on the meeting link found in your Zoom confirmation email to access the meeting. 

  • MUTE ALL: The District Host of the meeting will automatically mute all participants and disable the video as they enter the meeting. At the appropriate time, the Host will, one at a time, recognize and unmute the mics of community members in the order they “raise their hand” for public comment.  At that time, community members should unmute their mic on their end and begin their comment. Participants will not be on video.

  • RAISE YOUR HAND: Utilize the “Raise Hand” feature at the bottom of the screen if you would like to make a public comment at the appropriate time.

  • WHO MAY COMMENT? We will follow standard Board Meeting procedures as outlined in our policy regarding public comment. Only residents of the West York Area School District may comment.

  • ASK QUESTIONS: Utilize the “Q&A” feature at the bottom of the screen if you have questions or require technical support while someone else is talking. This feature will message the Host with any questions. Please recognize that questions may not be answered during the board meeting, however, the West York Area School District is committed to providing you with answers following the meeting provided you have given us your contact information.  

  • RECORDING: Please be aware this meeting will be recorded and streamed live using YouTube.
