Greetings West York Community:

Based on the Governor’s order, the District is following the 250 outdoor/25 indoor capacity guideline. The following represents the District’s Spectator Plan. If you have any questions about the following expectations, please contact the Athletic Department.

West York Area School District - Return to Play: Spectator Plan 25/250

West York is allowing HOME spectators at all events where 25 and 250 limits are not reached by participants and staff.

Volleyball (25) will be at maximum capacity with participants and staff, therefore, NO spectators will be allowed for these events.

Spectator expectations for all events, including practices, contests, and performances:

  • Social distancing guidelines must be followed at all times.

  • All spectators and attendees must wear a mask at all times; there will be no exceptions to this rule and it will be strictly enforced.

  • All attendees/spectators must remain six feet apart at all times unless they are members of the same household.

  • Any spectator not abiding by the above expectations will be asked to leave the premises immediately. Repeated violation of our policies could lead to the issuance of a defiant trespass order.

  • Extra masks will be available if needed at all events.

  • Concessions will not be sold at any event. Spectators may bring their own non-alcoholic beverages (no coolers or tailgating, please).

Event Information:

  • All band spectators must wear their ticket on the lanyard provided to be admitted.

  • Band spectators will be asked to leave immediately following the pregame show.

  • After the pregame show, the band will exit the stadium and move to the duck pond area where they will remain for the duration of the game.

  1. FRIDAY NIGHT STUDENT SECTION:  Duck Pond (maximum capacity of 250)

  • The duck pond area will be set apart from the rest of the stadium using a snow fence and/or additional fencing. No one will be permitted to travel to the stadium area from the duck pond area.

  • There will be 50 tickets available for students for the first home game.

  • Students must reserve a ticket via a Google Form that will be sent to students via email. All students must bring their school ID with them to the game and will then receive their ticket upon checking in at the gate.

      • Senior tickets will be made available first and the form will go live the Monday before the game.

      • Junior tickets will be made available second and the form for those students will go live the Tuesday before the game.

  • Entrance will be granted at 7:00 pm after the pregame band show (this allows time for our band spectators to leave the stadium). All football spectators should not park in the Clinton Street parking lot and should wait in their cars until this time to prevent a gathering at the stadium entrance. We will have someone available to assist and transport those needing ADA accommodations.

  • All spectators will enter the stadium using the main entrance and will exit the stadium via multiple locations.

  • Game start time will be delayed to allow enough time for band spectator dismissal and football game spectator arrival. The game will not start later than 7:30 pm.
