WELCOME TO WALLACE ELEMENTARY - Temporary Distance Learning Page
A MESSAGE FROM
Mr. Jonathan Hoffman
Greetings Wallace Students and Families,
I hope this email finds you and your family well during these uncertain and unprecedented times. I know I speak for all teachers that while this is not our ideal situation, we are making the best of it, and more than anything right now, we miss seeing your child at school very much! It is my sincerest hope that you and your family are doing well and staying healthy!
Our teachers have been working hard to plan, hold Zoom calls, and participate in professional development in order to best prepare our students for distance learning opportunities. As the leader of our youngest Bulldogs, I want to stress the importance of making sure our students and families are OKAY during this time. While our kids may not understand the gravity of our current situation, what they do know is they miss their friends, teacher, and the sense of normalcy they had from waking up, going to school, eating lunch, and coming home. I know our teachers are having a difficult time being away from the students - we all are - and we want all families to know we are ALL here for you and your child.
It is times like these that we lean on each other for support. Jess and I are going through a similar situation as she teaches remotely and I work from home, while trying to care for our two children and our dog, on top of helping Harper and Carter with their required work from school. It isn’t easy, but we will persevere and we will get through this, together.
I deeply appreciate your continued support and flexibility as we move forward through this uncharted territory. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or your child’s teachers through email or Class Dojo.
Take care, and be well.
