A Message from Ms. Groff
Hello Bulldog families!
Transitioning from the role of West York Area Middle School Dean of Students to West York Area Middle School Assistant Principal is an exciting time for me and one that I look forward to with much anticipation. Through opportunities and experience, it is my sincere desire to expand my knowledge and growth as a leader in the field of education.
I graduated from Central York School District and my husband is from Lancaster, but we have resided in the West York Area School District since 1989 and all three of our, now-adult, children are proud graduates of West York Area School District. Our children currently live in Los Angeles, CA, and Charlotte, NC, so we spend our free time traveling to visit them. Technically, we are not empty nesters as we continue to share our home with our two rescue dogs and our cat.
As a teacher and the Dean of Students, I recognize the importance of family engagement in education and the success that students achieve when schools and families form a partnership. As an assistant principal, I am committed to and focused on continuing to build trusting relationships between our school, our students, and our families and create a sense of belonging for every student and every family as we establish a school-wide culture that embraces diversity and finds value in having the voice of each student and family heard. I look forward to being a part of building the bridge between the school, students, and families.
With Bulldog Pride,
Assistant Principal, West York Area School District
