MTSS - What is it?

You may have seen and heard the term MTSS referred to in our schools. In simple terms, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is a systemic, continuous-improvement framework in which data-based problem solving and decision-making is practiced across all levels of the educational system for supporting students.

​MTSS is a framework that helps improve the performance of all students by identifying needs early and modifying instruction quickly. It is a comprehensive system that screens all students and provides interventions that can be intensified if needed.
